On 19 September 1922 Koprivnice , born in Czechoslovakia Emil Zátopek. he worked in Bata Boot factory in Zlin . He was 16 years of age at that time .
He explains that once their factory sports coach in which he was one of four people, was Ordered to take part in the race. Sports coach was very strict in behaviour .
Za topic his defense, saying he is sick to take part in the race. But sports coach sent him a physical examination where the doctor said that he is absolutely fine.So he had to run.When the race started, Za topic felt he could win . He ran full tilt, but he came in second. He was number 2 in 100 men.
After the incident, Za topic was very interested in the race. He was joined local athletic club. After that he brake many records .
